My Camera

The Olympus C-750 Ultrazoom

The camera used for the majority of the photographs on this site is the Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom. Although this camera is now obsolete it is, in my opinion, still one of the best cameras in the £250-£300 range. This camera has been superseeded by the Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom. The only difference I can see between these two is that the C-765 now uses a rechargeable battery rather than the 4 x AA batteries. This may reduce the weight of the camera, but you will now have to carry a charger around with you if you are on an extended shoot.

The only fault, I can find, with the C-750 Ultra Zoom is that the in-built flash is rather poor. This camera has a hot-shoe for an external flashgun but will only operate correctly with the two flash guns supplied by Olympus. These however are very, very expensive.

Camera Specifications:

  • 40x total seamless zoom (10x optical/4x digital)
  • 4.0-megapixel CCD
  • ED Glass Lens Elements for sharp, detailed images
  • Exclusive TruePicTM technology for smoother images

  • TTL Hot Shoe
  • Optimum Image Enlargement mode
  • Four customizable My Modes let you choose and save preferred settings
  • Panorama (w/included xD-Picture Card)
