Notable People and Creatures

Here you will find a list of the notable creatures and people you have encountered in the world so far:

Travelling Companions

Grund (N Orc Fighter) A towering orc mercenary employed to guard the wagons heading down to trading routes to Caldor; he made a firm friend in Azreal Shackleton and accompanied the party to Caldor. Encountered in session 6.

Pep (LG Elf Paladin) A strong and noble-hearted paladin in the service of Corellon Larethian; he helped defend the church at Caldor from two attacks by the Undying Court. Since then he has become the protector of Dongella and a travelling companion of the party.

Malakai (LE Half-Elf Wizard / True Necromancer) A well-versed librarian and travelling companion of Lord Lyrandar.

Aramil (CG Elf Fighter / Sorcerer / Arcane Archer) The cousin of Leshere and possibly one of the best archers in the land.

Barry (LG Human Knight) A tiny soldier summoned by the Deck of Many Things, he is in the service of "The Gnome".

Leshere (CN Elf Rogue) Azreal's servant and constant travelling companion.

Sir Doggard (LG Hound Archon Fighter / Marshall) A monocle wearing, aristocratic celestial with a knack for killing demons and telling incredibly long tales.

House of Lords

King Bryad IV (NG Human Aristocrat) The naive king of Arbwor. He is blissfully unaware that most of his government has been overrun by the Lords of Dust.

Lord Aston Deneith (LN Human Fighter / Marshall) The militaristic head of House Deneith and possibly the greatest military commander in the Kingdom.

Lord Butchen Cannith (N Human Wizard / Artificer) The head of the engineering House Cannith; he is responsible for the creation of the Warforged soldiers. He pledged to help the party after they removed the Lords of Dust spies from his castle.

Lord Garrant Kundarak (LN Dwarf Fighter / Dwarven Defender)

Lord Hawk Lyrandar (CG Human Swashbuckler / Duellist) The famous adventurer and head of House Lyrandar.

Lord Ratgar Ironwolf (LN Human Aristocrat) The current head of the Ironwolf family and the Duke of Caldor.

Lord Stranon Silverblade (LN Human Fighter) The aged head of House Silverblade.

Associates of the Noble Houses

Barden (NG Human Fighter) The acting head of Haldorn Keep in Lord Silverblade's absence.

Dreagar Cole (LN Human Wizard) The arcane advisor to Duke Ironwolf and his right hand wizard.

Erikson Thunderstorm (N Human Wizard / Arch-mage) The slightly mad and forgetful Arch-mage of Zinghera.

Sir Davidson (LG Gnome Paladin 7) (Deceased) The knight of Lord Deneith who passed his land and title onto the "Gnome of Illusion" in his death.

The Undying Council

Gabriel (NE human Rogue / Battle-Dancer / Shadowdancer) The vampire servant of Saracen. He acquired the first gem of the Well of Tears for Saracen from K'huntee, he was killed soon afterwards by the party. He has since returned to life as a human with various augmentations and continues to follow Saracen's commands.

Chardon (??? Human Wizard) The famous wizard and companion of Saracen 400 years ago.

Karn (LE Morgh Cleric / Rogue) (Deceased) An ex-cleric of Pelor who went mad and was hung for his crimes; now a servant of the Undying Council.

Leo (??? Dwarf Cleric) The cleric travelling companion of Saracen 400 years ago.

Lord Bleakstaff (LE Wight Sorcerer 2) (Deceased) A lowly lord who rose to undeath after he was crucified alive by his villagers. He acted as a spy master for a mysterious group known as "The Dying Court". Sadly he and his scarecrows proved no match for the party and he was cut down by Scarntlat. Encountered in session 3.

Lord Saracen (LE Lich Bard) The leader of the Undying Council, currently trapped beneath Zinghera.

Vasilick (??? Human Fighter) The warrior companion of Saracen 400 years ago.

Zarathos (LE Human Cleric / Hierophant) The lead cleric of Vecna under the command of Saracen and the Undying Council.

Lords of Dust

Duristanan the Wyrmbreaker (CE Rakshasa Wizard) The leader of the Arbwor chapter of the Lords of Dust and the creator of the Well of Tears.

Ilfen Ramsblood (LE Rakshasa Sorcerer) (Deceased) A mysterious bounty hunter covered in tattoos. He told the party he was tracking Lambert; who had apparently stolen something from him. Dongella noticed that one of his tattoos flew off from his body once he had bid the party farewell. Encountered in session 6.

Scarn (LE Bearded Devil) (Deceased) A bearded devil posing as a monk in Caldor, he was killed by Hammond after trying to take the gem.

The Twelve

Merrith Stormguard (CE Elf Rogue 6) (Deceased) A thief and assassin who stole from the treasure room of Duke Ironwolf. He was hunted down by Cullen and a squadron of city guards and eventually killed with the party's help - or lack of help. Encountered in session 4.

Bryad I / "Pumpkin King" (LE Undead Knight) The first king of Arbwor, he commissioned the Well of Tears to be made; it was thought he was killed by his own assassins but has instead been kept alive all this time by dark magic. Bryad I sees himself as the true protector of the nation, no matter the cost or whoever gets in his way.

Patch (LE Human Rogue / Assassin) A high ranking member of the Twelve.

Thalian (CE Elf Rogue 5) (Deceased) An assassin posing as a caravan guard to Joseph the librarian; he became friendly with Dongella to learn who had killed his friend Merrith. Later that night he attacked the party and tried to kill Fitz and Cullen only to be slaughtered by Scarntlat. Encountered in session 6.

People of Caldor


Brandon (CN Gnome Wizard 4) (Deceased) the gnome thief who helped Lambert steal the large skull with gem encrusted eyes from the orc tribe. He was later killed by John the Bard while travelling to warn Lambert on the road to Caldor. Encountered in session 1..

Brother Banabus (NG Human Cleric) The head of the Church of Ehlonna in Caldor.

Cullen (LG Human Fighter) The sergeant within the Guard of Caldor responsible for finding and capturing Merrith Stormguard and recovering what was stolen by the assassin from Duke Ironwolf. He accompanied the party for awhile before confrontation between himself, Baxs Tabber and Azreal Shackleton forced him to make his own way to Caldor. Encountered in session 4.

Godram Black (LN Human Fighter / Marshall) The head of the guard of Caldor and an advisor to Duke Ironwolf.

Joseph (LN Human Commoner) A travelling librarian and swindler; he tried to con Baxs Tabber into to selling him a rare tome about the assassin guild known as The Twelve. Little did he know that both of his guards turned out to be members of that very guild. Also Azreal blew up his wagon filled with all his merchandise. Encountered in session 6.

Karl Reinhart (NE ???? Rogue / Warlock) (Deceased) The leader of the Black Crescent Gang. He initially helped the party defeat the Dwarven Raiders gang, but the party were forced to stop him when he tried to take over Caldor for Dragotha.

Kelvin Smoothbeard (CE Dwarf Barbarian 6 / Frenzied Berserker 1 / Ravager 3) (Deceased) The psychotic head of the of Raiders gang in Caldor.

Lambert (NE Doppelganger Rogue) (Deceased) A trio of doppelganger rogues -all of whom assume the same form of a blonde human with a scar over his eye - responsible for stealing the gem encrusted skull from an orc tribe. Two of the Lamberts were killed by the party in a confrontation at Wayside Inn. One Lambert is still at large in Caldor; still in possession of the skull. Encountered in session 4.

Landrar the Large (LN Dwarf Fighter 5) A six foot tall dwarf blacksmith and pit-fighter.

Lockjaw (LN Half-Stone Golem Barbarian 7) The previous champion of the illegal pit fights in Caldor.

Mandarian (CG Elf Cleric of Corellon Larethian 10) (Deceased) The head of the Church of Corellon Larethian in Caldor.

Myridian Wintercloak (CG Human Commoner 3) (Deceased) The elected mayor of Caldor.

Selian Brightwood (CG Elf Cleric of Corellon Larethian 8) The new head of the Church of Corellon Larethian after the death of Mandarian.

Ryland (NE Yuan-ti Cleric of Nerull) (Deceased) Karl Reinhart's scythe-wielding second in command. He was killed when the party exterminated the Black Crescent in the sewers of Caldor.

Tyrell (N Human Wizard) A skilled spell-caster and the organiser of the illegal fighting pits that take place in Caldor in the warehouse district.

People of Zinghera


Brennigan Silverflame (NG Dwarf Cleric of Ehlonna) The head of the Church of Ehlonna in Zinghera.

Father Shamus (CE Human Cleric of Demogorgon / Thrall of Demogorgon) (Deceased) The head of the Cult of Demogorgon and posing as the leader of the Cult of the All Seeing Eye. He was killed by Scrantlat.

Zarkos the Druid (N Rakshasa Druid) Supposedly the royal gardener by appointment, however his memory is incredibly hazy regarding his past. There is something suspicious about him.

Others

Garauk (CE Orc Barbarian 2) (Deceased) An orc chieftain who attacked the farms near Water's Edge; he came into conflict with the party and was swiftly decapitated by Kunt. Encountered in session 1.

Jorgan Brighthammer (CG Human Cleric of Kord) The leader of the travelling company of Clerics of Kord.

Dragotha (LE Ancient Red Dragon) (Deceased) A power-mad Red Dragon who was controlling the Black Crescent gang of Yuan-ti; Dragotha's ultimate plan was to ascend to Lichdom. He was also in possession of one of the gems from the Well of Tears before the party killed him along with all of his followers.

Father Llymic (Elder Evil) A being of pure chaos from the Far Realm brought forth by the first Well of Tears and responsible for the destruction of the Elven Kingdom that stood before Arbwor. He currently lies frozen in ice under Zinghera along with the first Well of Tears. Duristanan's soul is tied to Father Llymic.

Viseroth (CE Fire Giant Cleric) (Deceased) The leader of the orc horde at Gran'gal, was in possession of the Horn of Gruumsh, he was killed by Azreal.
